Cairina Inc., a biomedical company developing precision cancer treatment solutions, has reached a new milestone. Co-founder Caleb Stine has been awarded the Virginia Tech Presidential Postdoctoral Fellowship, supporting the commercialization of Cairina’s software for precision drug delivery in cancer care.
Cairina’s technology combines MRI data with fluid flow modeling to predict tumor behavior, helping oncologists and surgeons deliver more targeted and effective treatments.
“This fellowship allows us to accelerate our efforts to bring this technology into clinical use,” said Stine. “Our goal is to equip oncologists with better tools to improve patient outcomes.”
Developed by researchers from Virginia Tech’s Fralin Biomedical Research Institute and City of Hope, Cairina’s platform builds on decades of research into tumor microenvironments and fluid dynamics.
With this support, Cairina is expanding its team, forming strategic partnerships, and pursuing licensing opportunities.
